Behind the Scenes

14 Mar

Hi Everyone!

So this past Saturday, I shot my Secret Garden Photo shoot at the Fullerton Arbotereum. I was super concernd about the weather and the grounds, since it had poured rain the day before. For the most part it was smooth sailing. It started out pretty cold in the morning and a little muddy, but by the afternoon the sun was shining and it was beautiful. Overall everthing went great! I can’t wait to share my video look book with you guys, so stay tuned. For now, here is a sneak peek!

Hi Everyone!

Today I wanted to introduce you to the model for my new Secret Garden photoshoot that was shot this past weekend.

Jayna Lynn Ingram was born in Kerrville, Texas on November 18, 2005. Two years ago she relocated to Huntington Beach, Ca with her mother Emsly, father John and little brother Cole. áHer mom is full Filipino and her dad is German. When she isn’t reading The Dork Diaries, she enjoys playing with her cat Bella, playing games on her ipad and rollerblading down to the beach. When she grows up she wants to be a teacher or a veterinarian.

Drumroll Please….

Hey Guys!

This past week has been hectic. I scouted four locations and started shopping for my looks. I’ve chosen my theme, booked my model and found the perfect location. Since I want to keep the location a secret for now, lets talk about the theme. The theme I’ve coming up with for this shoot isáSecret Garden. I’m think lots of greenery, flower fields and very free flowing clothing. I’ve also chosen to do another childrenswear shoot. My model is 10 and I feel like this theme is perfect for her age.

I want the photos to look whimsical and also fun. I want her to be able to use the elements around her as props, but I will still add a few here and there. Here is an inspiration for my shoot.

New Photoshoot

23 Feb

Hey Guys!

So this week, I am starting the research for my next photo shoot. First I need to start with finding a trend. With all the new and upcoming trends for Spring/Summer 2017, it’s hard to just pick one. I know that I want something fun and flowy so that the items can be played around with. Maybe long chiffon blowing in the wind. Possibly something like this.

What do you guys think?

Within the next few days, I’m going to start scouting possible locations. This part is just as hard as finding a trend. California has so many beautiful locations to choose from, but I think I may know the perfect place!

Cole Anthony Lee Ingram was born on October 5, 2010. He is 5 years old and was born in Norwalk, Ohio. His mother Emsly is full Filipino and his father John is German. He has an older sister named Jayna, dog Sierra and Cat Bella. He currently resides in Huntington Beach, California and attends Oka Elementary where he is in Kindergarten. He loves board games, McDonald’s, going to the pool and annoying his sister. His favorite thing about school are the girls. Isn’t he such a stud?

Resort Stripes

8 Feb

Hey Guys!

This week I started working on my next shoot. For this one I wanted to try something completely different than the last, so I chose to do childrenswear. The trend I chose for this upcoming Spring season is Resort Stripes. The trend says it all, and this shoot will be all about the stripes! Since my models will be children, I wanted to choose a location that would be fun and comfortable for them. What place is more fun than the pool? Definitly looking forward to the actual shoot and will post more details soon, but for now I’ll leave you with a teaser.

Scouting Locations

3 Feb

Hey Guys!

So this week i’ve started to research locations for my next photoshoot. Since I’ve decided to do a childrenswear campaign, I knew it definitely had to be a kid friendly location. To make it easier on me and the child model I was using, I wanted to chose a convenient location for both of us.áAfter checking out a few locations, I’ve narrowed it down to two. The pool, as well as a playground. What more could a kid ask for? Check them out!

I love them both and think I can shoot at both! What do you think?

Photo Shoot!

30 Jan

Hey Guys!

Last night I finally did my photo shoot. It was so much fun, but a lot of work! I ended up turing my living room into a studio and ran around all week trying to find the props I wanted. I ended up with navy blue, black and red velvet fabric, as well as satin sheets. All the jewelry used was the brand Monet, which you can purchase from JCPenny. My best friend was my model and I shot all the images myself. I worked all day on editing some images and will post them all once I have them done. For now here is a teaser. The theme wasáA Hunger for Luxury.áHow do you think I did?

Hey Everyone!

This past week I’ve been working on getting my story boards completed. I’ve been going through countless photos and picking and choosing the ones that inspire me. The title for my shoot is A Hunger for LuxuryWhen we were given this assignment, áI knew I wanted to do something with fine jewelry. Fine jewelry is something I feel like will never go out of style and always seems to be consistenly selling regardless of the market. There will always be people will to pay for the finer things in life regardless if they have the money or not. Here are some photos where my inspiration came from.

Can’s wait to actually shoot the photos and show you my props!

2014 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

14 Mar

In keeping with the Oscar theme, I’m here to talk about the best dressed at the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. This event was hosted by Graydon Carter on March 2, 2014 in West Hollywood, California.

When Taylor Swift showed up at the Vanity Fair party, I had to take a second look. This black sleek gown by Julien Macdonald was far from her giryl nude colors we usually see on her. Although, it was different she looked so elegant! This color looked great against her fair skin and golden blonde hair. Her sultry red lip was the perfect touch.

Selena Gomez wearing Emilio Pucci looked like a golden goddess. Everything about this dress including the elaborate beading is FAB-U-LOUS! Her sleek gorgeous locks added some youth and áheráJimmy Choo gold sandals completed her look.

Kristen Bell looked red hot in Zuhair Murad. The plunging dress acentuated her body perfectly. I love how she turned down the sexiness by giving herself a sleek updo, simple make-up and red lip.
