Tangerine the “IT” Color

30 Jun

So last weekend I went to an International Festival that takes place every year. This was my first time going and I knew there would be a lot of walking involved, so I opted to wear something casual. I wore my ánavy blue woven shorts and a white top tucked in for a more polished look. To add more pazazzá to the outfit,á I added a tangerine and fuschia statement necklace and this fabulous tangerine color blocking purse that I found at H&M. Not only is this bag versatile, but the the color is definitely the “IT” color for this summer.

Studded Collar Top

Hey guys!

So I have been noticing that studded and detailed collars are a must have for this season. On my recent trip to California I picked up this black and studded collar peek-a-boo top from Luna Boutique. This top is absolutely gorgeous in person! I wore the top over the weekend, but couldn’t decide if I liked it better with white or turquoise jeans. What do you think?

Yellow Romper

21 Jun

Hey Guys!

I wanted to do a quick post on one of the outfits I wore out to dinner while we were on vacation in Southern California. I picked up this gorgeous backless yellow romper from Luna Boutique located in Huntington Beach.áThe moment I saw it, I knew I had to have it. For those of you not living in Southern California, Luna Boutique has a facebook page in which they update photos of incoming inventory and you can order over the phone or email. The best part about them is that they ship internationally. I would definitely check them out. I paired the yellow romper with cognac-colored platform sandals that I got from Steve Madden and my Michael Kors Hamilton in Luggage.

REVIEW: NYC In a New York Minute Nail Polish

20 Jun

I love nail polish and how the colors change with every season. As many of you know, frequently buying new “it” and “trendy” colors for a specific season gets expensive. Nail polish ranges anywhere between $0.79á to $30. This Spring and Summer, pastels and neons are a must have polish color. While browsing around Rite-Aid, I came across these NYC polishes in a lilac (lavender cupcake), neon yellow (lexington yellow) and teal (mint macaroon). These beauties were $1.99 plus an additional 40% off. I left the store paying under $5. After testing them out, I can positively say that these are fabulous! I usually apply two coats which is more than enough and then I top it off with a clear coat. The color payoff on these are amazing and I feel like the colors will complement any skin tone. The only downside is that it doesn’t dry as fast as I would like. Nonetheless, I definitely recommend these to everyone!

Since the weather has started to get warmer I’ve noticed that my go to outfit has more than often been a maxi dress. I have never been a big maxi dress person because I never thought I could pull it off seeing as I am only 5’2″. A couple of months ago I found this maxi dress on Macy’s website and I thought, “Why not? If It doesn’t work I can always return it.” When I received my package I feel in love with it. I paired the dress with a brown belt from forever 21 and these retro inspired T-strap sandals. These shoes are so comfortable and for only $29.99 they were a great buy!

Bargain Shopping @ Kohls

2 Jun

Hey guys!

Last night I made a trip to Kohls to return a pair of shoes I had ordered online. áI don’t know about you, butáthis storeáis either a hit or miss with me. Luckily this trip was a success. I picked up two items andá both items were a steal. The first item I purchased were a pair of Coral colored tie up wedges by Jennifer Lopez. These gorgeous shoes are normally $79.99, but were put on sale for $15.99! How could I pass them up? The second thing I bought were a pair of yellow frayed denim shorts. They are origionallyá $32.99, but are currently on sale for $9.99.á I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and I would recommend checking out your nearest Kohls!
